This solo exhibition, organized by the director of the Goiânia Art Museum (MAG), Antônio Da Mata, and the musician, cultural producer, and artistic agent, Thiago Cardoso Borges, presents 30 works exhibited together for the first time, including some studies and three master copies of Raphael, Titian, and Repin, which summarize Gabriela Vaz Meirelles' path through the visual arts.

This solo exhibition aims to express the facets of women in some relevant historical and social periods through portraits and narrative compositions created by the artist Gabriela Vaz Meirelles in Florence. These works depict female subjects in particularly characteristic poses or situations, with a look that offers a reflection on the past, present and future of women’s role in our society.

In this collective exhibition, a mix of international and local artists of diverse styles approach the same subject matter of portraiture and figure drawing and painting. Demonstrating their own projections of their models, the artists delve either into idealistic visions or vain attempts of the authentic, ranging from subtle psychological projections within realistic canons or tossing aside such canons altogether to dive into deeply exaggerated expressions. From every artistic style, even the most realistic of them, one cannot stray from the filter of the artist’s soul that sees all the world from the single-point perspective of self.

In this collective annual student exhibition, all the students from different levels and classes from the Florence Classical Arts Academy present their final works and results open to the public.
